The Heavenly Gondola is open for sightseeing.
Located across the street from the Stardust Lodge and a half mile form the Americana Village, Heavenly’s Gondola is Lake Tahoe’s “must-do” experience, a year-round sightseeing opportunity unlike any other! After Labor Day the gondola will only be open three days a week on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10-4.
The eight-passenger cabins take guests 2.4 miles up the mountain in 12 minutes while they enjoy views of Lake Tahoe.
Just when it seems the ride can’t get any better, guests arrive at The Deck – a 14,000 square foot mid-station observation platform. Located at 9,123 feet, guests are treated to views of the Carson Valley, Desolation Wilderness and shore-to-shore views of Lake Tahoe.
After soaking in the views on The Deck, sightseers can head to Adventure Peak for a day of mountain fun, then enjoy a meal or grab a drink at the Adventure Peak Grill, a full-service, outdoor restaurant and bar.
Take a virtual tour of the Gondola ride, The Deck, and Adventure Peak. Or view the “Gondola Rising” video to see how it was built.

Hi Rosina,
The Gondola should be open during October but the best way to be sure is to call Heavenly directly as they continually update their schedule. You can get Heavenly General Info at (775) 586-7000. I hope that helps.
Is your Gondola dog friendly? Can I take my dog up the mountain with me?
Hi Patto,
Sorry but dogs aren’t allowed on the gondola unless they are seeing eye dogs.
Thanks for your question.
hello
we are going there in jan 11-12 are you open then?
Hi Ming,
Yes the gondola is open during that time. If you are looking for a great place to stay the Stardust is directly across from the Gondola and the Americana is a few short blocks away. You can make reservations at the Stardust by calling 800-262-5077 or at the Americana at 800.822.5920. We also offer discount lift tickets.
We look forward to seeing you. Take care.

Also, if you don’t have lodging lined up yet the Americana is offering a great deal that includes two adult lift tickets. Here’s a link to that special: http://www.gototahoe.com/packages
